Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa expects that President Rodrigo Duterte will add more names, aside from the five active and former generals of the PNP, who are allegedly protectors of drug lord syndicates.
In a press conference, Dela Rosa said that as far as he is concern, there are other police, including local officials that are included in the list of the President.
However, the PNP Chief said that he will refrain from saying anything and will wait for the President’s next move.
Bato also clarified that he is leaving it up to the National Police Commission to investigate the three active generals; former NCRPO Dir. Joel Pagdilao, former Chief of Quezon City Police District Chief Supt. Edgardo Tinio and former Western Visayas Police Regional Dir. Bernardo Diaz.
Meanwhile, aside from the three active generals, Duterte also mentioned that retired Pol. Gen. Marcelo Garbo and retired Police Gen. Vicente Loot, who just won as mayor of Daanbantayan, Cebu, are involved in illegal drugs activities.
Dela Rosa refused to divulge any more details regarding his talk with Tinio, Pagdilao and Diaz earlier today. He added though that the atmosphere was heavy.
