Philippine National Police (PNP) officials have complicated statements in the case of cops involved in the killing of former Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa led by Supt. Marvin Marcos.
PDG Ronald Dela Rosa, said the PNP-Internal Affairs Service (IAS) has recommendation for the dismissal, demotion and suspension of Marcos’ group that he already signed.
But C/Supt. Rene Aspera of Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM) said demotion and suspension only were the recommendation of PNP-IAS.
Aspera added that they cannot implement yet the said order since the accused have rights to file motion for reconsideration.
Dela Rosa stressed that Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is not involved in PNP’s decision on the said case.
Earlier, the President vowed to give Pardon to Marcos’ group and might be promoted after they are convicted in the killing of Espinosa.
