Motorists are still not allowed to go through the Alabang exit in the Southern Luzon Expressway, due to the collapsed tower of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines still being in the area.
According to NGCP spokesperson Attorney Ronald Concepcion, the repairs of the electric tower could last until Sunday. The NGCP tower fell due to a fire in Muntinlupa and has affected the traffic in Alabang.
Concepcion revealed that they already have the materials to erect the toppled tower in Alabang Viaduct but due to heavy rains last April 20, the start of the repair was postponed.
“Estimated naming yesterday was three days. Concepcion said during an interview with DZRH.
Meanwhile, NGCP complained about the tenants living under Tower 34 in Alabang.
Concepcion declared that NGCP will not allow the illegal settlers to return under the fallen tower.
The NGCP official revealed that they are carrying out a clearing operation to remove informal settlers living at the electric tower.
“ said Concepcion
