The border security measures among Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines will be nearing its completion.
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana already set a meeting with his counterparts in Maylasia and Indonesia, this coming August.
According to Defense Spokeman Arsenio Andolong, the said meeting will focus on the formation of a tri-lateral air and maritime patrols on the waters covered by the three nations.
Andolong added that the August meeting is a follow-up on their previous meeting last June 20 with former DND Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and his counterparts in the two countries.
Last July 16, a Framework on Trilateral Cooperation Agreement on Immediate Measures was signed by the three nations, as their answer in putting an end to the kidnapping activities of the Abu Sayyaf Group in the waters of Sulu.
