The Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas Incorporated apologized to the Ateneo De Manila University.

LVPI President Pete Cayco admitted that the university’s invitation for the National Volleyball Team tryouts was not delivered to the proper recipients.

According to Cayco, there was a clerical and administrative error that prevented Ateneo from receiving their invitation.

Prior to this apology, National Women’s Volleyball team coach Francis Vicente announced that players of Ateneo were invited for the try-outs, but none of them arrived.

Vicente made this declaration, after people criticized the absence of Ateneo Volleyball Stars Jia Morado and Marck Espejo from the player’s pool.

Due to this mistake by the LVPI, a special try-out will be prepared for chosen Volleyball players of ADMU. No announcement yet on when and where the tryouts will be.

Meanwhile, Morado has expressed her interest in representing the Philippines in the upcoming 2017 Southeast Asian Games, Under-23 Asian Cup, and Seniors Asian Cup.
