President Benigno Aquino III showed that he is one with the evacuees of Zamboanga City as the standoff between government troops and the faction of Moro National Liberation Front reached its sixth day.
Despite a humid Friday, Aquino assured the evacuees that government is trying its best to pacify the situation and that help is coming.
Aquino also ignored security threats as he lurked around the evacuation center in Joaquin Enriquez Memorial Center.
The President was accompanied by Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman, Interior Secretary Mar Roxas and Philippine National Police Director Gen. Allan Purisima.
Aquino stayed for the night to monitor the situation and actions of the MNLF group. Florante Rosales
