The Philippine National Police refutes the special report of Reuters, that police in the Philippines are accepting payment for killing criminals.
According to PNP Spokesperson Dionardo Carlos, they are already investigating the allegation of the said article. The PNP official, also wishes to identify the source of the report.
Based on the story published by Reuters, police plant evidences at crime scenes wherein they killed the suspects of their anti-drug operations.
Reuters revealed that the information came from a retired intelligence officer and a duty commander.
The two unnamed sources of Reuters, also, allegedly made an unpublished report regarding the drug war of the Duterte Administration.
Meanwhile, PNP hopes to obtain a copy of the said report, and the interview of the two police officials.
