The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo is disappointed over the public’s negative reaction regarding the Vice President’s meeting with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.
According to Georgina Hernandez, spokesperson of the Vice President, the meeting between the two officials had nothing to do with politics.
Ban and Robredo met in Ecuador last week.
Hernandez said that Robredo headed the Philippine delegate at a conference, wherein the UN Secretary General was also one of the attendees.
The camp of the Vice President insisted that the meeting between the two was just short and that they only took a selfie.
In line with this, Hernandez is making an appeal to the public to refrain from putting malice on the said meeting.
Prior to this, President Rodrigo Duterte has been criticizing the UN over his alleged meddling on Philippine matters, especially on the issue of the extra-judicial killings.
