Three high-risk inmates facing charges of illegal possession of explosives and drugs escaped on Wednesday from the North Cotabato Reformatory Center.

Supt. Erwin Ronquillo, Chief of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in North Cotabato, identified the three detainees as Mama Mandagia Makalati alias “Marco,” Musanip Saplidan Kusin, and Esmael Nasser alias “Derbi.”

According to Ronquillo, the three may have broken out of their detention cell around 4 a.m. on Wednesday. The jail guards only found out that they were missing at 5 a.m.

Authorities warned the public that the three fugitives are dangerous since they were involved in a series of shootings and bombings in the town of Kabacan.
